The Body Service Manual currently recommends that the hydraulic system of the folding top on convertibles should use either mineral oil or high grade brake fluid. Since 1984, Type A transmission fluid has been used in these systems. This bulletin is notification of a correction to the service manual that Type A transmission fluid is used in folding top hydraulic systems. An appropriate label should be present to identify the fluid in use. Do not intermix fluids.
