Subject: ERRATIC HORN OPERATION

1985 SUNBIRD

CONDITION:

Some 1985 Sunbirds may experience erratic horn operation while the horn pad is depressed.

CAUSE:

The condition may be caused by an intermittent ground between the horn and chassis attachment.

Horn Assembly:

CORRECTION:

Replace the existing attaching J-Nut and bolt with a serrated-type J-Nut and bolt. Use new part numbers 11509595 serrated-type J-Nut and 11502661 bolt for the above described condition. See illustration.
