Oil Pressure Check
1. Check transmission oil level and correct as necessary.2. Check throttle valve cable and adjust as necessary.
3. Check manual linkage and adjust as necessary.
4. Check engine tune up. If engine performance indicates that an engine tune up is required, it should be performed before road testing is completed or transmission correction is attempted. Poor engine performance can result in rough shifting or other malfunctions.
5. Install oil pressure gauge to transmission and tachometer to engine.
6. With engine at specified RPM and transmission in specified range, transmission oil pressures should be as shown in image. Brakes must be applied at all times. Also, the combined total running time when checking transmission in Reverse, Drive and Intermediate range must not exceed 2 minutes.
