Information on a new identification tab added to all THM 200-4R valve body spacer plates. The new ID tab will allow the identification letters to be read while the valve body is installed in the transmission.
Previous spacer plates could not be identified while assembled in the transmission because the identification letters were obscured by the valve body. A tab has been added at a different location (shown in Figure 1) and the identification letters are now visible after assembly.

All THM 200-4R models built after July 7, 1989 (Julian date 188), were built using the revised spacer plate.
SERVICE PARTS INFORMATION:
PART NUMBERS AND IDENTIFICATION LETTERS HAVE NOT CHANGED. Therefore, when servicing a THM 200-4R spacer plate, order the usual part number and the replacement part will be the updated spacer plate.
All past model spacer plates for service will include the new identification tab when current stock is used up.
