Oil Pump Replace

Fig. 25 Removing oil pump:

1. Remove timing belt. Refer to ``Timing Belt, Replace.''
2. Remove four Allen bolts securing oil pump, remove oil pump and pulley as an assembly, see Fig. 25.
3. Refer to ``Oil Pump, Inspection & Service.''
4. Prior to installation apply a generous amount of clean engine oil to vane, install with taper side towards the cylinder body.
5. Install new pump O-ring, lubricate with motor oil and install in the housing groove. Lubricate oil pump rotor and install pump body together with pulley.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
