Removal and Installation

1. Remove shifter assembly.

2. Raise vehicle and drain transmission lubricant.

3. Remove propeller shaft.

4. Disconnect speedometer cable and the back-up lamp switch.

5. Disconnect return spring and clutch cable from clutch fork.

6. Remove transmission to crossmember bolts.

7. Remove exhaust manifold nuts and the catalytic converter to transmission bracket bolts.

8. Remove crossmember to frame bolts, then the crossmember from vehicle.

9. Remove dust cover.

10. Remove clutch housing to engine retaining bolts, slide transmission rearward and remove from vehicle.

11. Reverse procedure to install.
