When referencing pages 8C-12 and 8C-13 in the 1986 Fiero Service Manual, please use the attached pages.

STEP 1

Apply approximately twelve (12) volts between terminals 4-1 (terminal 4 negative). Note position of pointer.


STEP 2

Keeping the voltage applied per Step 1 apply 12 volts between terminals 2-3 (terminal 2 negative). Pointer should rotate clockwise approximately 45~.


STEP 3

Remove 12 volts between terminals 1-4. Pointer should rotate clockwise an additional 45~ (90~ from Step 1 position).

If gage assembly does not meet any of the above tests, replace with a new gage assembly.
