STEERING WHEEL POSITIONING:

The wheel alignment specifications shown on page 3A-3 of the 1986 Sunbird Service Manual have changed. Please use the specifications shown below instead of those on page 3A-3.

Steering Wheel (see note A) 0~ +/- 5.0~
Camber 0.8~ +/- 1.0~
Cross Camber (L-R) 0~ +/- 1.0~
Caster 1.7~ +/- 2.5~
*Cross Caster (L-R) 0~ +/- 0.75~


A. Measured with front individual toes equal
B. 215/60R14 tires; Sum Toe spec.. is -0.12~ +/- 0.20~ Vehicle must be jounced three times before checking alignment to eliminate false geometry readings.

*Cross-car caster can affect leads and pulls and is the principle setting to achieve in service
