Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Valve Block Mounting Nuts:

1. Remove the hydraulic unit.
2. Remove the three valve block-to-booster/master cylinder nuts (with washers), using a 13 mm socket and driver.
3. Remove the valve block from the booster/master cylinder. Note the location of the four o-ring seals.
4. Lubricate and install the valve block o-ring seals on the booster/master cylinder.
5. Install the replacement valve block. Tighten the mounting nuts (with washers) to 25 N-m (18 lb. ft.) torque.
6. Install the hydraulic unit.
