ELC Relay & Compressor Motor Test

1. Connect a suitable fused jumper wire between ELC relay connector terminal E (yellow wire) and ground. If compressor runs, perform ``Actuator Arm Test.'' If compressor does not run, proceed to step 2.
2. Measure voltage between ELC relay connector terminal A (orange wire) and ground and between terminal B (orange wire) and ground. If voltmeter indicates battery voltage at both terminals, proceed to step 3. If voltmeter does not indicate battery voltage at both terminals, locate and repair open in circuit 40 (orange wire).
3. Connect a suitable fused jumper wire between ELC relay connector terminals A (orange wire) and D (dark green wire). If compressor does not run, proceed to step 4, leaving jumper wire connected. If compressor runs, replace ELC relay.
4. Disconnect C2 electrical connector from compressor assembly and measure voltage between circuit 322 (dark green wire) and ground. If voltmeter does not indicate battery voltage, locate and repair open in circuit 322. If voltmeter indicates battery voltage, ensure compressor assembly is properly grounded and correct as necessary. If grounding if satisfactory, repair or replace compressor as needed.
