Fig. 6 Assembly guide pins in cylinder assembly (standard head position):

1. Mount front head and cylinder assembly to holding fixture J-33026 or equivalent. Tape across 2 through bolt holes and insert 2 J-33016 guide pins or equivalent, Fig. 6.
2. Lubricate new cylinder to rear head O-ring with clean 525 viscosity refrigerant oil and install O-ring in rear cylinder groove.
3. Install suction reed plate over guide pins.
4. Install rear valve plate over guide pins.
5. Place head gasket over guide pins.
6. Carefully position rear head onto guide pins and lower head onto compressor, ensuring alignment marks line up.
7. Press rear head down to force it over O-ring.
8. Remove compressor from holding fixture and install through bolts with new gaskets. Ensure 4 bolts are threaded into rear head before removing guide pins.
9. Progressively torque through bolts in an alternating pattern to 72-84 inch lbs.
10. Leak test compressor.
11. Add proper amount of refrigerant oil as measured in step 1 of removal procedure.
