Compressor/Pump Relay: Testing and Inspection

1. Connect a suitable fused jumper wire between ELC test connector and ground. If compressor runs, perform ``Actuator Arm Test.'' If compressor does not run, inspect circuit 321 (yellow wire) for an open. If circuit is satisfactory, proceed to step 2.
2. Measure voltage between ELC relay connector terminal C (orange wire) and ground. If voltmeter indicates battery voltage, proceed to step 3. If voltmeter does not indicate battery voltage, locate and repair open in circuit 340 (orange wire).
3. Disconnect ELC relay electrical connector and connect a suitable fused jumper wire between ELC relay connector terminals A (dark green wire) and C (orange wire). If compressor does not run, proceed to step 4, leaving jumper wire connected. If compressor runs, replace ELC relay.
4. Disconnect harness half of ELC compressor assembly electrical connector and measure voltage between terminal B (dark green wire) and ground. If voltmeter does not indicate battery voltage, locate and repair open in circuit 322 (dark green wire).
5. Measure voltage between terminals B (dark green wire) and D (black wire). If voltmeter does not indicate battery voltage, locate and repair open in circuit 150 (black wire).
6. If battery voltage is indicated in steps 4 and 5, repair or replace the compressor assembly as necessary.
