Control Arm Bushing: Service and Repair

Fig. 8 Lower control arm & bushing replacement:

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly, then the ball joint clamp bolt.
3. Disconnect ball joint from knuckle by tapping with a mallet.
4. Remove lower control arm pivot bolts from frame.
5. Replace lower control arm and bushings as shown in Fig. 8.
