Test C: A/C Compressor Function Control Test

A/C Compressor Function Control Test:

C1. Remove the connectors from the A/C Pressure Cycling Switch and A/C High Pressure Cut-Off Switch. Connect a fused jumper between the terminals of each connector.

^ If either switch is open, battery voltage will be present at terminal B of the A/C Compressor Control Relay when the jumper is connected.
^ If the A/C Pressure Cycling Switch is open, check for normal refrigerant charge. If refrigerant charge is normal, replace the switch. If refrigerant charge is low, follow procedures for refrigerant diagnostics.
^ If A/C High Pressure Cut-Off Switch is open, replace it.
^ If battery voltage is not present at the A/C Compressor Control Relay when the jumpers are connected, check the wiring between switches for an open (see schematic).
