Troubleshooting Hints

Servo Actuation Test:

1. Check vacuum hoses for leaks, kinks and/or restrictions.
2. Check cruise control servo linkage for proper slack.
3. Diagnose and repair related ECM or PCM codes first, then re-check operation of cruise control. Related ECM or PCM problems that may affect cruise operation include TPS, speed sensor or park neutral switch operation.
4. It is sometimes possible for the system to be electronically functional, yet the solenoids may not seat correctly or leak vacuum. This can result in intermittent or no function of the servo. Refer to Servo Actuation Test.
