W/Automatic Transaxle

Starter Mounting:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Blower Motor.
3. Starter electrical connections.
4. Rear starter brace.
5. Wire loom from upper starter bolt.
6. Upper starter bolt.
7. Transaxle strut.
8. Lower starter bolt.
9. Starter through blower motor opening.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Starter.
2. Lower starter bolt.
3. Transaxle strut.
4. Upper starter bolt requires two technicians.
5. Wire loom.
6. Rear starter brace.
7. Electrical connectors.
8. Blower motor.
9. Negative battery cable.

NOTES:
^ If the starter is noisy during cranking; remove 1 - 0.015" double shim or add single 0.015" shim to outer bolt only.

^ If there is a high pitched whine after engine fires; add 0.015" double shims until noise disappears (not to exceed 0.045").
