Starter Mounting:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Wire loom strap from upper starter bolt.
3. Shift and selector level cables at external selector lever.
4. Upper and lower transaxle control lever cable bracket and cables.
5. Drive axle support brace.
6. Starter electrical connectors.
7. Starter.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Starter.
2. Starter electrical connectors.
3. Drive axle support brace.
4. Upper and lower transaxle control lever cable bracket and cables.
5. Shift and selector lever cable bracket and cable.
6. Wire loom strap to upper starter bolt.
7. Negative battery cable.

NOTES:
^ If the starter is noisy during cranking; remove 1 - 0.015" double shim or add single 0.015" shim to outer bolt only.

^ If there is a high pitched whine after engine fires; add 0.015" double shims until noise disappears (not to exceed 0.045").
