Blower Motor: Service and Repair

LESS A/C

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper arm attaching nuts, then slide arms off splined shafts.
3. Remove four wind deflector attaching screws and the deflector halves.
4. Remove right side washer nozzle from water deflector.
5. Remove seal from dash panel and clip, then the right side wiper bearing attaching nut.
6. Remove water deflector, then disconnect electrical connector from blower motor housing.
7. Remove blower motor housing attaching screws and the housing.
8. Remove housing cover attaching cover screws and the cover.
9. Remove blower motor from housing.
10. Reverse procedure to install.

WITH A/C

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect blower motor electrical connectors.
3. Disconnect air hose from lower housing.
4. Remove blower motor-to-case attaching screws.
5. Remove blower motor and fan assembly from housing.
6. Remove blower fan retaining nut and the fan from motor.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
