Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

Evaporator Removal:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Discharge A/C system.
3. Heater core.
4. Accumulator to evaporator pipe and orifice tube to evaporator at dash panel.
5. Three evaporator cover screws and evaporator cover.
6. Two evaporator bracket screws.
7. Two pipe clamps.
8. Evaporator core.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Evaporator core.
2. Pipe clamps.
3. Bracket and screws.
4. Evaporator cover.
5. Accumulator to evaporator pipe and orifice tube to evaporator at dash panel.
6. Heater core.
7. Negative battery cable.
8. Evacuate and charge A/C system.
9. Check for leaks.
