No Reverse or Slips In Reverse


1. Forward clutch plates burned.
2. Forward clutch seal ring off piston of exhaust check ball sticking.
3. Low-reverse clutch seals leaking or housing cup plug assembly restricted or not fully seated.
4. Low-reverse pipe O-ring damaged or missing.
5. Case-to-cover gasket damaged, leaking or improperly installed.
6. Direct clutch plates burned.
7. Low-reverse clutch plates burned.
8. Low oil pressure.

NO UPSHIFTS, DELAYED UPSHIFTS OR FULL THROTTLE UPSHIFTS

1. Shift linkage improperly adjusted.
2. Incorrect or improperly adjusted T.V. cable.
3. Low oil level.
4. Worn governor cover.
5. Governor thrust washer and seal worn or missing.
6. Governor spring unseated, weights binding or exhaust check balls missing.
7. Governor driven gear stripped or missing.
8. Intermediate servo apply pin incorrect or sticking.
9. Intermediate servo seals damaged or missing, or porosity in case servo bore.
10. Intermediate servo piston sticking or damaged.
11. Control valve spacer plate gaskets leaking or improperly installed, or valves sticking.
12. Governor feed orifice to 1-2 and 2-3 shift valves plugged.
13. Intermediate band burned or worn.
14. Missing case cover cup plugs or undrilled holes.
15. Case cover or case 2nd oil passage leaking or cover porosity.
16. Governor passage in case leaking.
