Fuel Pump: Testing and Inspection

PROCEDURE:

1. Relieve fuel system pressure before fuel feed line disconnection. Refer to Fuel Pressure Release Procedure.
2. Disconnect the fuel feed line at the engine, and connect a hose from the feed line to a suitable unbreakable container.
3. Power up the electric fuel pump by applying battery voltage to the fuel pump test/prime connector. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS.
4. The fuel pump should supply 1/2 pint or more of fuel in 15 seconds.
5. If flow is below minimum, check for fuel restrictions.
