Inspection

1. Check bearing for a smooth feel when applying as much hand pressure as possible.
2. Check sealing surface of pinion flange for nicks, burrs or a rough surface which could result in seal damage.
3. Check ring gear and pinion gear for excessive wear and scoring. Replace set if necessary.
