On models with pulse wipers, disconnect pulse control module and connect motor and switch harness electrical connectors together, then recheck system. If problem is corrected, module is defective. Refer to Figs. 9 and 10 to operate motor independent of vehicle wiring.
Motor Inoperative
1. Open in feed circuit to wiper switch.
2. Binding or damaged motor brushes or defective armature.
3. Poor ground at motor.
4. Open connector between motor and switch.
Motor Will Not shutoff
1. Defective wiper switch.
2. Binding park switch actuator or defective park switch.
Wipers Do Not Return To Park Position
1. Open in feed circuit to park switch terminal 4.
2. Defective wiper switch.
3. Binding park switch actuator or defective park switch.
Wipers Run Continuously In Delay Position
1. Defective pulse module.
2. Defective motor park switch.
3. Defective wiper switch.
