Control Valve Assembly






1. Clean control valve assembly with suitable solvent. Move valves with a small pick or screwdriver to dislodge any particles. Dry using compressed air.

2. Position control assembly as shown.

3. Valves springs and bushings must be laid out on a clean surface, in exact sequence in which they were removed.

4. Remove valve trains, beginning with upper lefthand corner. Some valves are under pressure. Cover bores while removing roll pins.

5. Remove blind hole roll pins with a modified drill bit.

6. Remove pressure switches.

7. Clean all valves, springs, bushings and control valve body in clean solvent Use compressed air to dry.

8. Inspect all valves and bushings for porosity, scoring, nicks and scratches.

9. Inspect springs for damaged or distorted coils.

10. Inspect valve body casting for porosity, cracks, interconnected oil passages and damaged machine surfaces.

11. Assemble control valve assembly as shown. Note position of valve lands and bushing passages for assembly reference.
