No 1-2 Shift
1. Inspect governor and/or governor feed passages for the following:a. Plugged governor oil feed orifice in spacer plate.
b. Missing ball(s) in governor assembly.
c. Leaking or missing inner governor cover rubber O-ring seal.
d. Missing or damaged governor shaft seal.
e. Governor driven gear stripped.
f. Governor weights binding on pin.
g. Governor driven gear not engaged with governor shaft.
2. Inspect control valve assembly for the following:
a. 1-2 shift, Lo 1st/detent or 1-2 throttle valve stuck in downshift position.
b. Improperly positioned spacer plate gaskets.
3. Inspect case for the following:
a. Porosity in case channels or undrilled 2nd oil feed hole.
b. Excessive leakage between case bore and intermediate band apply rings.
c. Intermediate band anchor pin missing or disconnected from band.
d. Broken or missing band.
4. Inspect intermediate servo assembly for the following:
a. Missing servo cover oil seal ring.
b. Porosity in servo cover, inner or outer piston.
c. Incorrect intermediate band apply pin.
d. Incorrect usage of cover and piston.
5. Inspect 1-2 accumulator for the following:
a. Loose housing bolts.
b. Damaged housing face.
c. Missing or damaged accumulator plate.
