No 3-4 Shift

1. Inspect control valve assembly and spacer plate for the following:

a. 3-4 shift valve or 3-4 throttle valve stuck.

b. Plugged spacer plate orifice.

2. Inspect center support for the following:

a. Oil passages plugged, or not drilled through.

b. Loose or missing attaching bolts.

3. Check for cracked or damaged fourth clutch piston.

4. Check for damaged, missing or improperly assembled fourth clutch piston seals.

5. Check for improper fourth clutch plate usage.

6. Check for burned fourth clutch plate.

7. Check overrun clutch plates for binding.

8. Inspect Case for the following:

a. Porosity.

b. Orifice cup plug missing in 3-4 accumulator passage.

c. Leakage between accumulator piston and pin.

d. 3-4 accumulator bore damaged.
