J: Oil Pressure Gage Indicates Low
1. Check the oil level and oil pressure with a mechanical gage.^ If oil level and oil pressure are OK. go to Step 2.
^ If oil level and oil pressure are not OK, see Engine.
2. Disconnect the Fuel Pump Oil Pressure Sender/Switch connector. Turn the Ignition Switch to RUN and observe the Oil Pressure Gage.
^ If the gage reads low, check/repair TAN (31) wire for a short to ground. If wire is OK, replace the Instrument Cluster (see Service and Repair).
^ If the gage reads high pressure, replace the Fuel Pump Oil Pressure Sender/Switch.
