Air Bleed Valve Adjustment
Removing Idle Air Bleed Cover Rivets:
1. Remove air bleed valve cover by covering bowl vents and air inlets with masking tape and drilling out rivets using a .110 (7/64") drill bit. Use a punch to drive out remainder of rivet and remove cover. Remove cover and use compressed air to remove any pieces. CAUTION; WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN USING COMPRESSED AIR.
2. Insert tool J33815-2 or BT 8253B (or equivalent) gauge through air horn vent so that it contacts the solenoid plunger.
3. Place the upper end of gauge over the cavity next to the valve.
4. Hold gauge so it is holding the M/C solenoid plunger down. Rotate the gauge until it is over the air bleed valve. Adjust the air bleed valve until it just touches the gauge.
5. Remove gauge and check idle mixture.
