Manual Shaft & Parking Pawl Components

1. Inspect actuator rod, inside detent lever and manual shaft for cracks, damage or burrs.

2. Install parking pawl and spring.

3. Install parking pawl shaft into the case, then the parking pawl.

4. Install retaining pin and cap plug, then check for proper operation.

5. Install parking lock bracket and bolts. Torque bolts to specifications.

6. Install actuator rod, then the inside detent lever.

7. Install manual shaft seal. Lubricate seal lip with Transjel J-36850 or equivalent.

8. Install the manual shaft, ring groove end first, then the retaining pin and hex nut. Torque hex nut to specifications.
