Caliper Installation
For additional information see Installation Notes. Fundamentals and Basics1. Liberally fill cavities in housing between bushings with silicone grease.
NOTE: Make sure sleeves are installed with large holes facing inboard. If sleeves are installed backward, damage to threads in mounting bracket can result.
Installing Sleeves And Sleeve Boots:
Rear Caliper Assembly:
2. Install sleeves (8) and boots (7) in caliper, then caliper over brake rotor into mounting bracket.
Rear Caliper Installed:
3. Tighten caliper mounting bolts (6) to 100 Nm (74 lb. ft. ) using Number 55 torx wrench.
4. Install brake line fitting (36) onto caliper using new copper washer , if removed. Torque to 44 Nm (32 lb. ft.).
5. If inlet fitting (36) was removed, bleed caliper.
6. Install parking brake cable (35) to bracket (25).
^ Press cable ferrule into hole in bracket until ferrule locking tangs snap into place.
Rear Caliper Assembly:
7. Install parking cable and return spring to parking brake lever (10).
