Radiator Cooling Fan Motor Relay: Description and Operation

All electric cooling fans operate when engine coolant temperature exceeds a certain value. The ECM will complete the ground for the coolant fan relay when it monitors engine temperature above a certain value or when the A/C is turned "ON." Also in some cases the vehicle speed must be below a certain mph.
