Troubleshooting Hints

^ Try the following checks before doing the System Check.

1. Check Fuses 11, 17 (SSE), 20 (LE and SE), and 19 by visual inspection.

2. Always check terminal contacts before replacing any component.

3. Check Fuse 3 (SSE) or Fuse 15 (LE and SE) if Power Door Locks operate from Transmitter but not from Door Lock Switches.

4. If a second Transmitter is available, try it. If it works, change the batteries in the first Transmitter and try it again. If it still doesn't work it is defective.

5. Check Transmitter battery terminals. They should be clean and make good contact with the battery.

6. If in doubt as to the condition of the Transmitter batteries, replace them with new ones. Checking battery voltage with a DVOM may give false results.

7. If a motor's internal circuit breaker trips, it will not reset until voltage is removed from the motor.
