Electronic Climate Control Description

DESCRIPTION

The Electronic Climate Control (ECC) System maintains the selected comfort level regardless of changes in the outside temperature and weather conditions. The primary system components which work together to provide this automatic control include:

OPERATION

^ An electronic heater and A/C control assembly, located on the Instrument Panel (I/P).

^ A programmer assembly, located under the I/P on the end of the heater and A/C module assembly.

^ A blower motor control module, located under the hood on the heater and A/C blower module.

^ An in-vehicle temperature sensor, located in the I/P pad assembly, and an aspirator, mounted under the I/P on the heater and A/C module.

^ An outside air temperature sensor, located on the upper radiator tie bar.

The air distribution and refrigerant systems are similar to those of the manual air conditioning system.
