Disassemble

OUTPUT SHAFT DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove thrust bearing washer from front of output shaft

2. Mark third-fourth synchronizer hub and sleeve for reference during assembly, then remove blocking ring, sleeve, hub and third gear as an assembly universal press plate tool No. J-22912-01 and a suitable press.

3. Remove needle bearing assembly and spacer.

4. Remove second gear snap ring, thrust washer, second gear, spacer and needle bearing.

5. Remove the spiral snap ring and thrust washer.

6. Mark first-second synchronizer hub and sleeve for reference during assembly, then remove second gear blocker ring assembly, first gear, and blocking ring.

7. Remove synchronizer springs and keys from first-reverse sliding gears.

a Remove sleeve, anti-rattle spring and ball from mainshaft hub.

9. Remove fifth gear, using gear puller tool No. J-22912-01 and a suitable
press.

10. Remove rear bearing, first gear, needle bearing and sleeve.

11. Remove locating pin and first gear blocker ring assembly.
