1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove left side hush panel, steering column filler panel and right side hush panel, Fig. 150.
3. Remove instrument cluster trim plate.
4. Remove three bolts from steering column mounting bracket.
5. On 1989-90 Models, lower steering column, then remove instrument cluster as shown in Fig. 151.
6. On 1991 Models, lower steering column, then remove instrument cluster as shown in Fig. 152.
7. Remove attaching screw from bottom of windshield wiper/washer switch, then remove switch.
8. Remove screw from bottom of headlight switch, then remove switch.
9. Remove two retaining screws from instrument panel pad above cluster.
10. Remove defroster grilles, then remove torx screws from under each defroster grille.
11. Remove two screws from bottom of right side instrument panel trim pad above glove box, Fig. 153.
12. Remove right side instrument panel trim pad, then remove three screws below trim pad.
13. Remove two screws from bottom of right and left side air outlet grilles.
14. With center grille staying in place, remove right and left air outlet grilles.
15. Disconnect right and left speaker wires, then remove instrument panel.
16. Reverse procedure to install.
