Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair

Accumulator - Interior Parts:

Accumulator Mounting - 2.5L (VIN U):

Tool Required:
J-38100-C A/C Refrigerant and Recycling Station.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Recover refrigerant.
3. Both lines at accumulator and discard 0-ring seals.
4. Accumulator bracket bolt.
5. Accumulator assembly.
^ Install sealing caps if accumulator is not being replaced.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Accumulator assembly.
2. Accumulator bracket bolt.
3. Both lines at accumulator using new 0-ring seals.
4. Negative battery cable.
5. Evacuate and recharge A/C system with 1.02 kg (2.25 lbs.) of R-12.
