CONDITION:

Some 1989 and early 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix Turbo models may exhibit a warped or wavy front bumper fascia under the grille.

CAUSE:

Inadequate reinforcement of lower edge of front bumper fascia.

CORRECTION:

Install fasica reinforcement, P/N 12507538 using the following procedure.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

1. Raise vehicle.

2. Position the fascia reinforcement on the warped or wavy edge of the fascia.

3. Lightly tap fascia reinforcement on to fascia with a rubber mallet.

4. Lower vehicle.
