Gear Cluster Support Components

Fig. 8, Engaging 4th & reverse gears:

To conduct this procedure tool J-36031 or equivalent, is required. Also, engage the gear cluster in 4th and reverse gear.

1. Refer to Figs. 8 and 9, then proceed as follows:
a. Remove attaching bolts (91).
b. Remove cover (90) and selective shim (87).
c. Remove retainer (88) and output gear cluster using tool described previously.
d. Return transaxle into N position.
