SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 10-5 - REVISED WASHER NOZZLE AND TOP VENT SCREEN REMOVAL PROCEDURE

MODELS:
1990-94 CHEVROLET CAVALIER AND PONTIAC SUNBIRD

This bulletin revises the shroud top vent grill panel removal procedure found in the applicable Service Manual, Section 10-5.

Whenever the shroud top vent grill panel is removed or the windshield washer nozzle is to be removed, the following revised procedure should be used to prevent nozzle damage.

Remove or Disconnect





1. Using a 7 mm deep socket, remove nozzle screw to top vent grill panel. (Refer to illustration).
2. Carefully remove washer hose from nozzle using a gentle twisting motion.
3. Remove nozzle from vehicle.
4. Wiper arm assemblies.
5. Open hood to full open position, then remove air inlet grill panel screws.
6. Shroud top vent grill panel.
7. Shroud screen from panel.
8. Hood seal lace from panel.

Install or Connect

1. Hood seal lace from panel.
2. Shroud screen from panel.
3. Shroud top vent grill panel.
4. Air inlet grill panel screws.
5. Wiper arm assemblies.
6. Washer nozzle to panel.
7. Washer hose.
8. Screw to nozzle.
