Assembly

1. Lubricate all internal components with clean engine oil.
2. Pack all pump cavities with petroleum jelly, then install the gears. Ensure mark on gears faces timing cover.
3. Install cover and gasket, then the pressure regulator valve and spring.
4. Apply Loctite sealant to pressure regulator valve plug threads, then install the plug and torque to specifications listed under SPECIFICATIONS/MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS/TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS.
