Seat Belt Systems: Description and Operation
The automatic safety belt system consists of a shoulder belt mounted to a carrier which moves along a guide rail between the A and B-pillars. When the front doors are opened, the shoulder belts move to the A-pillar. When the ignition switch is turned to ``ON,'' the belts move to the B-pillar. This system also incorporates active lap belts which must be used with the motorized shoulder belts.
