Rear Knuckle: Service and Repair

1. Remove hub and bearing assembly as outlined under TRANSMISSIONS CLUTCHES DIFFERENTIALS AXLES AND DRIVE AXLES/AXLE, DRIVE SHAFTS/COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR/REAR AXLE/HUB & BEARINGS.
2. Remove speed sensor and bracket from knuckle, then outer toe link castle nut.
3. Install spring compressor No. J-33432 on leaf spring to support control arm.
4. Scribe position of strut to knuckle bolts, then remove strut to knuckle bolts.
5. Remove outer control arm bolt/nut, then knuckle from vehicle.
6. Reverse procedure to install, torquing bolts/nuts to specifications.
