System Check - HVAC System - Automatic

System Check Table (Electronic, C68):

- Use the System Check Table (see image) as a guide to normal operation. All of the checks can be performed without the use of tools or disassembly of components.

- Even though one or more checks may not give the normal result, complete the entire System Check to reveal all symptoms which may exist.

- Complete System Checks with the temperature outside the car at 16 °C (60 °F) or higher, and the engine warm and running at idle.

- If all of the steps can be completed as described, the Regular Production Option (RPO) (C68) Electronic Air Conditioning and Heating System is operating normally.

- The Heater and A/C Control Assembly includes built-in diagnostic codes which indicate fault conditions due to the Air Mix Valve and Temperature Sensor.

- Refer to Air Door Actuator / System Diagnosis / Procedures / Air Delivery and Temperature Controls for diagnosis of conditions indicated by these codes. Testing and Inspection
