Subject: MANUAL SEAT RECLINER WILL NOT OPERATE - (REPLACE RECLINER ASSEMBLY)
Models Affected: 1991 AND 1992 BONNEVILLE MODELS
CONDITION:
Some 1991 and 1992 Bonneville models may exhibit a condition where the seat recliner will not operate and recline the seat when the handle is rotated.
CAUSE:
Release cable disengaged from the release lever on one or both sides of the seat. (See Illustration)
CORRECTION:
1. Inspect the cable and release lever. If any problem is noted with the cable and lever, replace the entire recliner assembly.
2. Reinstall the cable end to the release lever. Replace the clip using part number 25608881. The clip must be replaced on both release levers to assure the cable does not detach again.
