Fuel Pressure Test Port: Service and Repair

Fuel Rail Assembly:

Removal:

NOTE: Clean around the fuel pressure connection with GM X-30A or equivalent.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELIEF.
3. Remove the fuel pressure connection and seal.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install a new seal on the fuel pressure connection.
2. Install the fuel pressure connection in the fuel block, and tighten to 13.0 Nm (115.0 lb.in).
3. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position for two seconds, then turn to the OFF position for ten seconds. Again turn the ignition switch to the ON position and check for fuel leaks.
