Fig. 4 Exhaust Manifold Replacement:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove throttle body air duct.
2. Disconnect EGR transfer tube at plenum, then remove EGR valve with adapter and shield from exhaust manifold.
3. Remove serpentine drive belt, then remove AIR pump pulley.
4. Remove AIR pump upper bracket, then disconnect AIR hose from check valve.
5. Raise and support vehicle, then remove exhaust crossover pipe nuts from exhaust manifold.
6. Disconnect vacuum line and electrical connector from diverter valve, then lower vehicle.
7. Remove AIR pump to lower bracket attaching bolt, then remove AIR pump with diverter valve.
8. Disconnect AIR pipe from exhaust manifold.
9. Remove alternator brace, then remove exhaust manifold attaching bolts and exhaust manifold, Fig. 4.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
