Coolant Cavity Cover



Coolant Cavity Cover:





REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the throttle body from the engine. See THROTTLE BODY HOUSING.
3. Remove the coolant cover attaching screws.
4. Remove the coolant cavity cover and the O-ring. Discard the O-ring.
5. Clean the O-ring sealing surfaces, and inspect them for damage and corrosion. Replace the coolant cavity cover, or throttle body if necessary.

INSTALLATION:

1. Lubricate the new coolant cover O-ring with ethylene glycol antifreeze.
2. Position the O-ring in the cavity of the throttle body.
3. Install the coolant cavity cover, and hold it in place.
4. Install the coolant cavity cover attaching screws and tighten to 3.0 Nm (27 lb.in).
5. reinstall the throttle body onto the engine. Tighten the throttle body attaching bolts to 27 Nm (20 lb.ft).
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
