Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose: Service and Repair

Air Cleaner Assembly:

AIR FILTER ELEMENT

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the two clamps from the adapter.
2. Remove the bracket.
3. Remove the adapter.
4. Remove the bolt/screw from the air cleaner assembly.
5. Remove the air cleaner cover and element. Inspect for dirt, dust, water and clean or replace if required.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install the air filter element and cover.
2. Install the air cleaner bolt/screw to the air cleaner assembly.
3. Install the adapter.
4. Install the bracket.
5. Install the two clamps to the adapter.
6. Tighten the air cleaner bolt/screw to 24.4 Nm (18 lb.ft).

AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL:

1. Remove one clamp from the adapter to the air cleaner assembly.
2. Remove the bolt/screw from the air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly.

INSTALLATION:

1. Position the air cleaner assembly on the support bracket, and tighten the the bolt/screw to 24.4 Nm (18 lb.ft).
2. Clamp and position the adapter to the air cleaner assembly and tightened 27.1 Nm (20 lb.ft).
