Door Ajar Switch

Door Ajar Switch:

Remove or Disconnect

1. Trim panel.
2. Water deflector.
3. Lock assembly (2).
4. Bolt (1).
5. Switch (4).

Install or Connect

1. Switch (4). Position switch to door lock and engage lower lip of switch assembly onto lower edge of lock assembly tab. Hold switch assembly upward and against lock assembly attaching tab.
2. Bolt (1).
3. Lock assembly (2).

NOTICE: It is required that while performing step 3 that the lock assembly be held tight against door facing while driving all three attaching screws and that all screws be driven at a 90 degree angle to door facing to prevent cross threading or stripping of screws of door lock attaching holes. Torque to 7 N.m (62 lb in). DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

4. Water deflector.
5. Trim panel.
