Radiator Cooling Fan Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove air cleaner to throttle body duct.
3. Remove electrical connector from coolant fan.
4. Lift fan assembly out of two lower insulators, rotate bracket so two lower bracket legs point upward, move fan assembly toward driver's side until fan blade overlaps radiator tank to core seam by approximately one inch and remove fan assembly upward. Because of minimum clearance, care must be taken not to damage lock tang on throttle position sensor with the fan bracket.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
